How much does it cost to sponsor a child?
Sponsorship starts at $19/month (Faith level), with additional tiers at $33/month (Hope) and $66/month (Love). Your gift is pooled with other sponsors to provide comprehensive care for your child—food, shelter, education, and medical care.
For those who want to be a child's sole sponsor, our Compassion level is $500/month.
How long does a sponsorship commitment last?
We ask sponsors to commit to at least one year so we can plan effectively. After that, you can continue as long as the child is in our program—some sponsors stay connected for a decade or more.
Life happens. If you ever need to cancel, just email us. No guilt, no questions.
What updates will I receive about my sponsored child?
You'll get instant digital access to our online family network with recent photos and updates. We send quarterly email updates, and on special occasions we host live Zoom calls so you can see the children in real time.
We know you want to see their faces and hear their stories. We do our best to make that connection feel real.
Can I communicate with my sponsored child?
Yes! Email your message to support@belikebrit.org and we'll make sure it gets delivered and translated. Your child can read it and respond if they'd like.
Kids light up when they receive letters. It reminds them someone out there is thinking of them.
Can I send gifts to my child?
Yes, at Christmas and birthdays you can send a gift. We have guidelines to make sure gifts are appropriate and fair across all children.
We ship through a private company in Miami—about $5/pound by air. We just ask that you cover shipping costs.
What happens if my sponsored child leaves the program?
We'll notify you by email as soon as possible. With your permission, we can transfer your sponsorship to another child with a similar profile.
Children leave our program for good reasons—reunification with family, graduation, transition to independence. We celebrate those moments.
Are donations tax-deductible?
Yes. Be Like Brit Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Your donations are fully tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

How much of my donation goes to Haiti?
83 cents of every dollar goes directly to Haiti operations. We keep overhead low because every dollar matters.

Do you accept stocks, crypto, or IRA gifts?
Yes to all. We accept appreciated securities, cryptocurrency, IRA rollovers (QCDs), donor-advised fund grants, and planned gifts through bequests.

Can I visit Brit's Home in Haiti?
When conditions allow, we organize "Britsionary" trips for sponsors and supporters. These are life-changing experiences.
Important: Due to the current situation in Haiti, our Britsionary program is temporarily paused. Safety is always our first priority. We'll resume trips when travel is advisable.
Can I visit the Operations Center in Worcester?
Absolutely. We'd love to meet you. Stop by "The OC" at 66 Pullman Street in Worcester, MA. We're open Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm.
